All the adverts from 2012 are hopefully accurate (thanks also to Guillermo for some help with this update). It should be ok until something better is released



FINAL UPDATE OF HUNGARY 2012 - hopefully everything is fixed now, run-off areas, col file updated, visors added and some smaller tweaks made - time for summer break!!

Couldn't resist adding a few things done by Guillermo (thanks mate) so here is the last release of Hungary 2012 - by me anyway!

I'll check the transparency, I wasn't sure about the run off area at turn 1 - on tv it looked a brown colour, different to the track, I'll have another look at that

The 2nd run-off area I thought was gravel in the race - I'll check that also!

Thank you Neil, there is no gravel traps in turn 3, 8 and 9. Like last year already.

Here is Hungary 1.1 - I've fixed the transparency at turn 1 (I think anyway!) and I've changed a few of the run-off areas to asphalt. I've tried to get the sandy dusty sort of colour which it looked like during the race but I'm not sure if I've got it right in some places - let me know what you think anyway

Thank you! The new dusty tarmac texture looks great!

Here are some things which attracted my attention:
- turn 4 has gravel behavior (should be tarmac instead),
- turn 6 has gravel texture (should be tarmac),
- turn 6 has gras behind the curb (shoud be artificial gras),
- turn 7 has gravel texture (should be tarmac),
- turn 10 has gravel behavior (should be tarmac),
- turn 11 has gravel texture and behavior (both should be tarmac),
- the green painted tarmacstrip in turn 15 has gras/hard behavior,
- the tarmac runoff at turn 15 has gras behavior particulary at the exit,
- the green painted tarmacstrip at turn 16 has gras/hard behavior at the exit,
- the tarmac runoff at turn 16 has gras behavior on the exit.

After that we should have a perfect hungray 2012 version . I hope my list helps.

Guys - here is the latest version of Hungary 2012 hopefully final

thanks for all the great feedback - anything that improves the track is welcome and so far I've been able to fix everything mentioned thankfully! All the run-off areas should now be fixed and I've changed a lot of the clipping distance settings so objects shouldn't be popping into view

I've also added a large area of the inner ground which was leaving a big hole in the in track which was missing for some reason and fixed a couple of fence areas that didn't look right and were covered by some strange looking shadows

Yes, the behavior is fixed in the .gp4. But sadly I think you missed to klick "convert .GP4 to .col". I would recommend to do so and offering a fixed version then .

Just insert it in your wad (hungaroring2001.wad\maps\hungaroring2001 folder) and the bug will be fixed.

It was me a pleasure to help to create the 2012er version of budapest .

Thanks for that Klaus - I take it you need to do that when you modify surface behavior - I didn't know that so that's another useful tip

I'll wait a while to see if any other improvements can be made before releasing again - thanks for providing the fix
